Victoria, which was founded in 1850, truly lives up to its motto: "Where Urban Rush Meets Rural Serenity."
       Victoria has retained its agricultural roots while developing a quality residential and commercial base. Metro phone service and nearby shopping in Ridgedale, Southdale and Eden Prairie Center provide urban convenience. And Victoria's own commercial base is thriving, with a tax rate that's below the average mill rate of other Carver County communities.
       The city is famed for its lakes and parks, and residents enjoy a high quality of life with excellent schools and ample outdoor amenities.

Victoria's children attend schools in three different districts: Minnetonka School District No. 276, Chaska School District No. 112 and Waconia School District No. 110. Students also may attend Holy Family Catholic High School.

Golf - Top

Victoria is home to Deer Run Golf Club, a picturesque course located in the hills of Carver County. The clubhouse on hole #18 is a converted farmhouse complete with a huge comfortable porch. After a day on the links, stop inside for some food and refreshments served by the courteous staff.

Victoria is nestled amid the rolling hills, lakes and woods of Carver County, about 25 miles west-southwest of downtown Minneapolis' Humphrey Metrodome.

Parks & Recreation - Top

Victoria is home to nine lakes, including the Smithtown Bay area of Lake Minnetonka. The city also has more than 170 acres of parks and open space. The Community Athletic Park offers baseball, softball, football, soccer, hockey and basketball; and Salter's Park has an exercise trail and tennis courts.
       About 2,000 acres of the Hennepin County Park Reserve District lie in Victoria, providing camping, hiking, bike trails and the Lowry Nature Center. The University of Minnesota Horticultural Research Farm is also located in Victoria, offering more than 150 varieties of apples each fall. The University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum borders on the east, and 1,800-acre Carver Park Reserve is also nearby.
