The Mystic Lake Casino, located within the boundaries of Prior Lake, is the only casino/hotel in the Twin Cities region. The casino also provides a great deal of financial stability within the area.
       Students in Prior Lake are served by Prior Lake-Savage Area School District 719, with the additional choice of several private schools. Numerous colleges are within driving distance for students wishing to continue their education after high school.

The athletic complex at Memorial Park has nine baseball/softball fields and three football/soccer fields.
